Gobi (Cauliflower) Manchurian with gravy recipe with step by step photo - Gobi Manchurian is a popular Indo-Chinese recipe and is super delicious and tasty. Gobi Manchurian with gravy is a tempting combination of deep fried gobi (cauliflower) florets simmered in a flavorful thick gravy made with soy sauce and red chili sauce prepared in traditional Chinese way. Gobi Manchurian satisfies both your savory and spicy cravings. This Indo-Chinese recipe of Gobi Manchurian pairs very well with Rice, Hakka Noodles or Plain Noodles. Also excellent with Roti or Naan.





Ingredients:
  • Cauliflower - 1 medium size(cut into big size florets)
  • Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Salt - to taste
  • Water - as needed for boiling cauliflower
For Batter:
  • All Purpose Flour (maida) - 1/2 cup
  • Cornflour / Cornstarch - 1/4 cup
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Red Chilli Powder - 1 tsp
  • Soy Sauce - 1 tsp
  • Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
  • Water - as needed for making batter
For Sauce:
  • Oil - 3 tbsp
  • Onion (finely chopped) - 1 large
  • Capsicum (chopped) - 1
  • Green chillies (chopped) - 4-5
  • Ginger (finely chopped) - 1 tsp
  • Garlic (finely chopped) - 1 tbsp
  • Salt - to taste
  • Sugar - 1 tsp
  • Black pepper powder - 1 tsp
  • Soy Sauce - 1 tbsp
  • Vinegar - 2 tsp
  • Tomato Ketchup - 3-4 tbsp
  • Red chillie sauce - 1 tbsp
  • Water - 1.5 cup
  • Spring Onion (finely chopped) - 2 tbsp
  • Coriander leaves (chopped) - 2 tbsp
Method:

1. In a big pan Bring lots of water to a good boil, add salt and turmeric powder. Add cauliflower and cook for 5 mins till the cauliflower is done. Drain and set aside.

2. In a bowl mix maida, corn flour, salt, pepper powder, ginger garlic paste, soy sauce, red chillie powder, and water and make a thick batter. The batter shouldn't be too thick or too thin.

3. Heat oil in a deep frying pan. Dip cauliflower in batter and fry till golden. Drain and keep aside.

4. Heat 3 tbsp oil in another pan. Add ginger, garlic, green chillies and sauté for half a minute.

5. Add onion, capsicum along with salt, pepper powder and sugar. Cook till golden brown.

6. Add soy sauce, chillie sauce, vinegar and tomato ketchup, mix well.

7. Add water and bring it to a boil.

8. Now add little of the leftover batter and mix well, so the sauce gets thick.

9. Once it is thickened add the fried cauliflower and mix well gently.

10. Add in spring onion and coriander leaves, mix well.

11. Serve hot.

Kesar Pista Ice Cream | Instant No Cook Recipe

Kesar Pista Ice Cream recipe with step by step photo - Kesar Pista (Saffron Pistachio) is a very popular Indian ice cream. Homemade Ice cream is very easy to make and tastes great. This is quick Kesar Pista Ice Cream and does not need any type of cooking or ice cream maker. You just need a good electric blender. This is super easy, quick and yummy Kesar Pista Ice Cream recipe.






Ingredients:
  • Sweetened condensed milk - 1 cup
  • Half and half/Thick milk/ heavy whipping cream - 2 cup
  • Pistachio (coarsely ground) – 1/2 cup
  • Saffron (Kesar) strands – 15
  • Milk – 1 tbsp

Method:

1. Dissolve saffron strand in warm milk. Keep it aside.

2. In a frozen container or bowl take whipping cream.

3. Whip it with electric blender until stiffness peaks. (Put mixer on low speed for few seconds then increase the speed and whip.)

4. Add condensed milk and continue to whip.

5. Now add saffron milk and coarsely ground pistachio, mix it well with spatula.

6. Place it into an air tight container and cover it with lid.

7. Keep it in freezer for about 6-8 hours or until firm.

8. Garnish with some pistachio. Scoop and Serve chilled Kesar Pista Ice cream.

2. In a frozen container or bowl take whipping cream.  Whip it with electric blender until stiffness peaks.


3. Add condensed milk and continue to whip.


4. Now add saffron milk.

5. Add coarsely ground pistachio.

6. Mix it well with spatula.


7. Place it into an air tight container and cover it with lid. Keep it in freezer for about 6-8 hours or until firm.

8. Garnish with some pistachio. Scoop and Serve chilled Kesar Pista Ice cream.
